Game Design Projects

Salty Seas is a top-down, third person adventure game. Players travel across the ocean to deliver cargo and to fight pirates. I began developing this game in my system design course at SCAD. It is built around a navigation system that requires players to adjust sails and rudders in response to ocean and wind conditions.

The Three Tales

The Three Tales consists of three separate video games, each with different mechanics and following a different character's perspective. Only when all three games have been played can a viewer understand the complete story. I built these games in a rudimentary game engine that I coded in Processing for my undergraduate thesis on video games as an artistic medium.

SnowTracks

SnowTracks is a 3D side-scroller where the player travels through a frozen environment in order to return home. The player navigates through the levels by jumping and strategically throwing their backpack to activate switches.
SnowTracks was developed at SCAD as part of a level design course, focusing on designing encounters around specific mechanics and then combining encounters into complete levels.
